The bargain bin that was the Texas football program over the past few years for the NFL to draw from is starting to dry up. Under the direction of third year head coach Tom Herman, this Texas team is growing its own elite talent again and rising back to the point of national prominence.
With Herman at the helm, this Longhorns squad should start producing first round picks on a regular basis again. Yet, this could still be a year for the 2019 NFL Draft where some former Longhorns are still very good value picks.
Of those former Texas standouts that stick out among this 2019 NFL Draft class coming off the Forty Acres, former senior starting cornerback Kris Boyd could wind up turning into a steal among the middle round picks.
