The Texas Longhorns reportedly have their new head coach. After officially firing Charlie Strong Saturday morning, Texas will tab Tom Herman as it's new head coach.
I have confirmed, per a source close to the situation, that Texas will hire Houston coach Tom Herman. Release expected later today.

Dinich's report has been confirmed by others as well. Last night, Chat Sports reported Texas officials were meeting with Herman to offer him a "mega-deal" to lure him to Austin.
The exact terms of the deal have not been reported yet. But expect Herman to become one of the highest paid coaches in all of college football. It's also unclear what Herman's staff will look like at Texas.
We'll update this story as new information is revealed.
