There is a distinct possibility that the Texas Longhorns' bowl matchup in 2014 could be a true Lone Star State classic.
Officials from the Texas Bowl could very well be angling for a Texas/Texas A&M matchup, despite the SEC's recent protestations against it.
While SEC officials might not be excited about the idea, Houston Chronicle writer Brent Zwerneman found one player who seems to speaking for the majority in regards to the possibility of the interstate clash taking place:
A&M WR Malcome Kennedy on A&M possibly playing Texas in a bowl game: It would be great for the state. Everybody wants to see that game.

On Wednesday night, Texas receiver Jaxon Shipley indicated that he would "love the chance" to face the Texas A&M Aggies in the postseason. Other players, from the looks of it, are similarly keen on the idea.
Now all it will take is sidestepping some bureaucratic red tape - something that gets increasingly harder to do in the big business that is college football.
