The Texas Longhorns had a very successful Early Signing Period, signing 19 of their 22 commitments to secure their place as the No. 3 recruiting class in the country. However, recruiting the 2018 class isn't done with traditional signing day on Feb. 7 still looming. Three players (Keondre Coburn, Keaontay Ingram, Daniel Carson) are all currently committed and have yet to sign, but here are four currently uncommitted prospects they can still land:
4) DE Joseph Ossai
The nation's No. 11 weak-side defensive end is deciding between Texas and Texas A&M, and it appears the Longhorns currently have the edge for the talented 6-foot-4, 220-pounder. He's athletic enough to play either defensive end or outside linebacker for the Longhorns should he sign on Feb. 7, as currently predicted.
3) WR Joshua Moore
The former Nebraska pledge decommitted following Mike Riley's firing and is on an official visit to Austin this weekend. Florida State, Oregon, and Texas A&M are also in the mix for the talented 6-foot-1, 170-pounder, whose speed in his biggest asset. His recruitment is still very much up in the air right now.
2) WR Jaylen Waddle
Speaking of speed, the 5-foot-10, 175-pound Waddle has it in spades. He projects to be an excellent slot receiver at the Power 5 level, and unsurprisingly, that has drawn interest from several teams. Alabama and Texas A&M (since hiring Jimbo Fisher) are really trending up in his recruitment, while Texas is trying to catch both of those schools.
1) QB Tanner McKee
The 6-foot-6, 220-pounder is the top uncommitted quarterback remaining and Texas is one of the final schools in the mix for him. He's a true pocket passer with a big arm, but McKee also has surprising speed and athleticism that allows him to avoid the rush and make plays on the move. However, it will be a shock if he picks someone other than Stanford - but crazier things have happened.
