The Texas A&M Aggies finished the year 8-4. It was a good, but not great season. The Aggies will get a decent bowl, although losing most of their high-profile games will cost them a chance at a better bowl game. Here are their three most likely destinations:
Outback Bowl (Big Ten vs. SEC)
Friday, January 1, Noon ET
Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida
This is the least likely bowl destination among the three here for Texas A&M. It seems like Tennessee will end up here, although Texas A&M could still being the pick.
TaxSlayer Bowl (ACC/ND or Big Ten vs. SEC)
Saturday January 2, 12:00 p.m. ET
EverBank Field, Jacksonville, Florida
While it's not a bowl game on New Year's Day, this did use to be the Gator Bowl. It will also feature a high-quality opponent in a good location on a Saturday. It's highly unlikely Notre Dame gets this bowl game, which means it's down to an ACC or Big Ten team. This makes sense for the Aggies, but there is a better option.
Texas Bowl (Big 12 vs. SEC)
Thursday, December 29, 9:00 p.m. ET
NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas
The Texas Bowl just makes perfect sense for Texas A&M. It nearly happened last year and it should finally go down this season. It's a close game for the Aggies, which will help ticket sales. It'll also pit them against a former Big 12, which is something we need to see. If Texas A&M gets this bowl, the Aggies would likely play Texas Tech.
