Steve rose with the dawn, put on a pot of coffee and make the kids breakfast before changing into some work clothes and hitting the yard with a fervor rarely seen. When it gets hot later in the day, he’ll retire indoors where he’ll vaccuum, do a couple of loads of laundry, replace the air filters and basically do whatever else needs to be done in a frantic rush of productivity.
He’s not normally this industrious on a Saturday, but this weekend is different. The college football season begins Aug. 25, just one week away. It’s only four games, none of which involved Power 5 teams, but that doesn’t matter.
