Former Texas A&M quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel had a humbling experience in his debut in the CFL. The former Hamilton Tiger-Cat and now Montreal Alouettes starting quarterback faced off against his ex-teammates and to say things didn’t go well would be an understatement.
Johnny Football finished his first start going 11-for-20 with 104 yards, no touchdowns and four interceptions — all in the first half. To put that in perspective, only Nathan Peterman has thrown four interceptions in one half in the NFL in the last 10 years. The Tiger-Cats tied a CFL record with 28 points in the first quarter and 21 of them came on turnovers.
