What NFL draft success means for Texas A&M's trajectory under Jimbo Fisher

COLLEGE STATION -- On the surface, a school's pro day can be one of the most mundane times on the football calendar.

Texas A&M's was no different Tuesday.

Eighteen Aggies prospects went through various drills and workouts while men with stopwatches and notebooks took stock and wondered if their respective NFL teams should draft or sign them in late April.

But as with everything during Jimbo Fisher's coaching tenure, even boring events can be used to gauge A&M's trajectory.

Annually churning out first-round picks is the sign of an elite program. For the first time since 2010, the Aggies didn't have one last year.
