The Women’s Bouncy Ball Team is headed to the Sweet 16 after taking a fantastic game from Marquette in a 4 vs 5 matchup in Reed Arena on Sunday afternoon.
After their OT win vs Rice, I wrote that nobody expected Marquette to play as badly on Sunday as they did on Friday vs Rice. The Golden Eagles proved that right by coming out of the gate red hot. Marquette hit 7 of their 9 FGA before the first media timeout with 4:51 to go in the first and led 16-8. The Ags ramped up the defensive intensity coming out of the timeout and the game was tied at 18 with 1:38 remaining.
