JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Texas A&M running back Trayveon Williams is now the school's all-time single-season leading rusher.
Needing 26 yards to break Darren Lewis' previous season-best of 1,692 yards set in 1988, Williams busted that mark by dashing 93 yards for a touchdown with 13:56 to go in the fourth quarter of Monday's TaxSlayer Gator Bowl against NC State.
The run was also Williams' longest run of his career.
With the run, Williams is currently at 236 yards on 18 carries and three touchdowns for the night. The number is an A&M bowl record for rushing yards.
