COPPELL -- Almost nine months ago, Coppell kicker Caden Davis walked off the field dejected following a missed extra-point in an overtime playoff game that ended the Cowboys' season. On Friday, his redemption story was set, and Davis delivered with a 57-yard field goal as time expired to give Coppell a 30-28 victory over Sachse in the season opener for both schools.
"It's real exciting for sure, especially after the ending to last season, to come out and redeem myself," Davis said.
Davis accounted for all of Coppell's second-half points, also connecting from 42 and 29 yards out.
