HOUSTON- Former Texas A&M women’s basketball video coordinator Sydney Colson has stepped down from her position to become a women’s basketball assistant coach at Rice.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Sydney to go back to her hometown and advance her coaching career,” said Texas A&M head coach Gary Blair. “She will work for a great head coach in Tina Langley, and will do special things at Rice. We wish Sydney the best of luck moving forward.”
Colson, the starting point guard of Texas A&M’s 2011 National Championship team, had been on the bench for the Aggies since January 2014, and served as video coordinator for the 2014-15 season.
