COLLEGE STATION, Texas –Texas A&M freshman Tori Vidales was named to the All-Southeastern Conference second team and joined freshman Ashley Walters on the SEC All-Freshman team, the league office announced today.
Vidales has been a cornerstone of the ball club this year, as one of only three players who has started throughout the entire season. Opponents quickly learned not doubt the freshman’s bat, who has hit a league second-best 18 bombs in her rookie campaign. Offensively, Vidales ranks second on the team with a .359 average and .769 slugging percentage, pacing the team with 48 runs, 56 hits, 52 RBI and 45 walks.
