A week ago the quarterback landscape in the NFL looked a lot different. Tony Romo was headed to Houston. The Texans appeared to have their quarterback. To secure Romo the Texan’s front office traded away Brock Osweiler and a second round pick to free up cap space, but then came the shocking new of Romo’s retirement.
Romo will enter the broadcast booth with CBS rather than sign with the Texans or any other team. That leaves the Texans in a bit of a bind. Head coach Bill O’Brien needs someone to take snaps, and Tom Savage and Brandon Weeden are the only quarterbacks on the roster.
