COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M appears set at quarterback into the next decade.
On Thursday night, Bishop Gorman (Nevada) quarterback Tate Martell declared he intends to attend A&M, although he’s only entering his junior year of high school.
“I’m excited to announce that I’m committing to Texas A&M University,” Martell posted on his Twitter account.
Martell (5-11, 180), considered a dual threat in the mold of former A&M standout Johnny Manziel, is rated a four-star prospect by most recruiting services, and ESPN.com rates him as the No. 32 overall prospect (and No. 2 quarterback) in the class of 2017.
