We’ve all seen it by now. It will go down in Aggie Lore as “The Plaque,” for better or worse. Mostly worse. This is bad. And dumb. And with the widely-held perception that Aggies take ourselves too seriously, along with a corresponding track record of doing exactly that, the retroactive “it was a joke” excuse is flimsy and hollow. Others can hem and haw and backpedal all they want, but we’re gonna own this. We aren’t afraid of poking fun at ourselves, because it’s the only way to stay pure:
