Here are three quick takeaways from No. 17 Texas A&M’s (26-7, 14-5 SEC) 71-38 victory over LSU (19-14, 11-8 SEC):
1. Tigers can't buy a bucket. With 11:40 remaining in the first half of the SEC tournament semifinal game at Bridgestone Arena, the Texas A&M Aggies and LSU Tigers had played to a 9-9 tie featuring less than stellar shooting from both sides.
From that point, A&M turned it on. LSU shut it down.
What followed was a 26-4 run capped by Admon Gilder burying a buzzer beating three as the half expired to give the Aggies a 35-13 lead headed into the half.
