Here are three takeaways from Texas A&M's 81-62 win over Auburn Saturday afternoon at Reed Arena.
Sharp shooting made up for careless turnovers
Texas A&M narrowly missed the 20-turnover mark with 19 on the day. The Aggies made up for it by shooting lights out, however. A&M shot 69 percent from the field (64 percent from three). It was A&M's third-best shooting performance in school history.
This Auburn team is not worse than Vanderbilt. Instead, A&M was able to run a more efficient offense revolving around its big men. The Aggie offense whipped the ball to Robert Williams and Tyler Davis early and often.
