AUBURN, Ala. -- Normally, it takes more than a couple of lackluster weeks for a quarterback to draw the ire of his fan base.
But after Texas A&M’s stunning 28-24 loss to Auburn on Saturday, sophomore Kellen Mond received his share of blowback following arguably his worst game of the season.
Mond was 16-of-32 passing for 220 yards and a touchdown, but he also committed two key turnovers. One was a fourth-quarter interception that gave Auburn the necessary momentum for an improbable comeback.
Throughout the year, Mond has demonstrated his resiliency by weathering big hits in the pocket while throwing a pass.
