Texas A&M’s Trayveon Williams is heading for the NFL draft, but the SEC still has plenty of talent at running back.
Here are the SEC’s top five running backs heading into the 2019 season:
1. Ke’Shawn Vaughn, Vanderbilt
Vaughn stepped into the national spotlight with his 243 rushing yards and two touchdowns against Baylor. Quietly, he dominated the SEC all season long. He rushed for 1,244 yards and averaged a conference-high 7.92 yards per carry. With Williams and Kentucky’s Benny Snell Jr. out of the way, Vaughn is poised to be the best running back in the SEC.
