South Garland guard Tyrese Maxey became so nervous Wednesday that he said his hand shook as he signed his national letter of intent to join Kentucky men’s basketball in 2019.
But no fear, Kentucky fans. Maxey completed his signature, and the five-star No. 1 player in Texas for the Class of 2019 made his commitment to the NCAA powerhouse official.
South Garland senior Chris Harris Jr., a four-star shooting guard, shared a the stage with Maxey and signed with Texas A&M during the school’s ceremony.
“I’m looking forward to just the experience, learning from a great coach like coach [John] Calipari and I know it’s going to be fun out there,” Maxey said.
