The position change has paid off. Brandon Williams made the switch from offense to defense in 2015 under the tutelage of John Chavis, and now he'll join a couple of other former Chavis defensive backs, Tyrann Mathieu and Patrick Peterson, in Arizona.
Williams was a highly-touted running back from Houston Brookshire who signed with Oklahoma out of high school. He saw limited time as a freshman in 2011 before deciding to transfer to Texas A&M. He sat out the 2012 season per NCAA rules and spent the following two years in a bit role as part of an often-criticized running back rotation before moving to the secondary as a senior.
