Texas A&M sophomore wide receiver Kirk Merritt is facing two charges of indecent exposure. He reportedly exposed himself to two athletic tutors last fall and has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Houston Chronicle reports that there has been a request from Merritt’s attorney to delay arraignment on the charges. Merritt’s attorney said requesting the delay is not “solely” to ask for more time but “so that justice may be done.”
Merritt has practiced this spring and is expected to play in Saturday’s spring game. Merritt transferred to A&M in 2016 from Oregon; he sat out last season to fulfill NCAA transfer rules.
