After splitting the series in the regular season, the fifth seed Texas A&M Aggies defeated fourth seed LSU Tigers in the quarterfinals of the 2018 SEC Tournament 75-69. Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but SEC Freshman of the Year Chennedy Carter led all scorers with 25.
That is especially impressive given that Carter’s worst two games this season came against LSU. In College Station she was limited to just 10 points, and in Baton Rouge she was held to just eight.
Khaaila Hillsman had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, including a key and-one play that put the Aggies up by 2 with less than two minutes left in the game
The game was a very back and forth affair through the first quarter, with each team holding a lead more than once.
