The Texas A&M men’s track and field team already won the 2017 indoor championship and finished a close second in the outdoor championship. Meanwhile Fred Kerley was not so quietly dominating all of his competition.
Kerley’s victory in the 2017 USTFC was just one more feather in the cap of a tremendous season. The race was his fifth sub-44.2 finish this year. Only three other men have ever accomplished that feat: Quincy Watts (1992), Jeremy Wariner (2006-2008) and LaShawn Merritt (2008, 2014).
Kerley now owns an SEC championship, collegiate championship and a national championship.
