JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One of Texas A&M's starting defensive backs will not be playing in the Gator Bowl.
Senior safety Donovan Wilson will miss the No. 19 Aggies' game against N.C. State as he recovers from surgery to repair a hernia, A&M coach Jimbo Fisher said after practice on Thursday.
Wilson did not participate during the early portion of the Aggies' practice for next week's bowl game against N.C. State. While the rest of the team stretched on the main practice field at the University of North Florida, Wilson stretched on a separate field with a team staffer.
