Texas A&M safety Armani Watts sporting a boot on left ankle, won't play against New Mexico State

Texas A&M safety Armani Watts will not play against New Mexico State Saturday night.

The junior suffered the injury against Alabama last week, and he did not return to the game. Senior safety Alex Sezer Jr. was also injured in last week's game. With Justin Dunning tearing his ACL in fall camp, the Aggies are suddenly thin at safety.

Either Larry Pryor or Donovan Wilson are likely to take Watts' place at free safety. Through seven games, Watts has 44 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.
