Texas A&M sophomore running back Vernon Jackson could be facing a career-ending neck injury, according to his Facebook post Wednesday night, which was first reported on by GigEm247.
"I'm sure some of you may know but 2 weeks ago i suffered a neck injury in practice," Jackson wrote. "Today I found out it was much worse than expected and could keep me from ever playing again. I just want to thank everyone who has helped me get to this point. I am not sure where my path is leading me but I am going to trust gods plan and hopefully I can bounce back from this an be able to achieve my goals I have set.
