The first College Football Playoff Rankings from the Playoff Committee were released Tuesday night. While certainly there is discussion to be had about who made the top 4, Aggie fans should be refreshed to find Texas A&M six spots ahead of their rank in the AP Poll and inside the top 20 at no. 19.
Barring ultimate chaos, the Aggies won’t be able to crack the Top 4 and make it to a semifinal, but they are in a very good position to finish out the season. The Committee gets to choose twelve teams to play in the “New Year’s Six” Bowls, which include both semi-finals and four other top-tier bowl games.
