Texas A&M’s open coaching position may be the talk of the college football world, but how this roster changed over the next month is just as important to this program’s future. On Sunday, the roster suffered a major piece of attrition, as veteran QB Max Johnson announced that he has entered the transfer portal. Johnson is the second A&M player to enter the portal since the firing of Jimbo Fisher, joining freshman WR Raymond Cottrell.

Johnson made eight starts in his two years in College Station, amassing more than 1,900 passing yards, 12 TDs and 5 INTs (along with two rushing touchdowns).
