Texas A&M withstood a ninth-inning rally to beat the Houston Cougars 4-3 on Monday afternoon and advance to the NCAA super regional round.
The Aggies were reported as one of the last four teams selected at-large for the NCAA baseball tournament.
Houston, host for the double-elimination NCAA regional, scored twice in the bottom of the ninth inning, but A&M got the game-ending strikeout with runners on first and second.
Texas A&M is expected to host Davidson in a super regional, ESPN reported. Davidson upset No. 2 national seed North Carolina in the Chapel Hill Regional, advancing Sunday with a 2-1 victory.
