Texas A&M is the No. 4 seed in the NCAA baseball tournament – the field was announced Monday – and the Aggies’ inclusion capped off a great year for the athletic program: A&M is the only school in the nation to reach the postseason in each of the NCAA’s “big five” sports – football, men’s and women’s basketball, softball and baseball.
Florida was second in the SEC with four postseason berths – all but men’s basketball.
Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee had three postseason berths each. Georgia missed in men’s basketball and baseball, as did Tennessee.
