With the Texas A&M Aggies men’s basketball team sitting at 7-10 overall and 1-5 in SEC play, nobody is under the illusion that the season is going well. But we got another bit of bad news last night as assistant basketball coach Isaac Chew tendered his resignation. You can read statements from Chew as well as head coach Billy Kennedy in the tweet below.
Based on the statements, it seems this departure is more for personal reasons than it is for anything related to the team’s performance. Before coming to Aggieland, Chew was an assistant under Texas A&M graduate Buzz Williams at Marquette and Virginia Tech, and also coached with Kennedy at Murray State.
