Texas A&M mascot Reveille IX officially is verified on Twitter. The Rough Collie dog’s official account revealed the news on Thursday morning.
Reveille joins Albert Gator as the only verified mascot in the SEC. Interestingly, Alberta Gator, Florida’s female mascot, is not verified.
Reveille has served as Texas A&M’s mascot since its original incarnation in 1931. The current mascot, Reveille IX, officially was announced by the university on March 10, 2015 and assumed her role on May 9, 2015.
