Here’s a look at the top three individual performances by SEC players from the weekend.
3. Alabama QB Jalen Hurts
The skinny: Hurts’ steady play seemingly is a given. He had another solid performance in the Tide’s 66-3 mauling of Ole Miss. He played just one series into the third quarter; he finished 12-of-19 for 197 yards and two TDs through the air, and rushed for a team-high 101 yards and a TD on 10 carries. It was his third 100-yard game of the season and the seventh of his career. He has guided the Tide to huge victories in each of the past two games: The Tide has beaten Vandy and Ole Miss by a combined 125-3 and has scored 50 points in back-to-back SEC games for the first time since 1945.
