Texas A&M linebacker Josh Walker has left College Station after he was suspended indefinitely following a recent arrest, Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin said Wednesday night.
It remains unclear if Walker’s decision to leave will be permanent.
“He’s no longer here, he’s gone back home,” Sumlin told reporters.
Walker was booked into the Brazos County (Texas) Detention Center last Friday night on charges of assault causing bodily injury to a family member and interfering with emergency requested for assistance in a domestic violence incident with his girlfriend in an apartment.
Cpl. Matthew Alaniz of the College Station Police Department told The Houston Chronicle that Walker, 20, pushed the woman into a child’s rocking chair in an apartment during an argument.
