Texas A&M LB Ikenna Okeke out for season with knee injury, ex-Plano East LB Anthony Hines III also missing time

Texas A&M's linebacker corps is running a little thin right now.

Head coach Jimbo Fisher announced after Tuesday's practice that redshirt sophomore Ikenna Okeke will be out for the season with a knee injury.

Okeke was expected to be a key backup at the rover spot for A&M. He had seen some time with the first team defense towards the beginning of the Aggies' fall camp. Last season, Okeke played sparingly in two games, recording four tackles.

Additionally, Fisher said that sophomore linebacker Anthony Hines III will miss time due to injury as well. Fisher said Hines, a Plano East product, suffered a "minor sprain" in an undisclosed place.
