Jimbo Fisher is considered by some to be a quarterback guru. In the next month, he will have his first glance at which player he wants to lead Texas A&M under center in 2018.
Two players pose as the favorites -- Nick Starkel and Kellen Mond -- yet one may have the upper hand in this position battle.
That favorite is Nick Starkel, who won the starting job over Mond in fall camp last season and reclaimed his QB1 spot from the true freshman just three weeks after returning from a broken ankle.
Playing in nearly half the amount of games, Starkel threw for nearly as many yards (1,294) as Mond did (1,375), even though Mond held a complete advantage on the ground, rushing for 340 yards.
