COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M head coach Billy Kennedy hopes standout sophomore guard TJ Starks has finally learned his lesson.
In the Aggies' 75-71 loss to Ole Miss Wednesday, Kennedy benched Starks for the remainder of the game after the 13:44 mark of the first half. Kennedy cited effort, execution, demeanor and body language for his decision.
"He needs to get the message at some point and I think this is another opportunity for him to grow from it and get better at it," Kennedy said Friday.
Starks' next chance to redeem himself comes Saturday against Missouri, who walloped A&M on its home court, 66-43, on Jan.
