The 2018 NFL Combine is winding down and projections for the Texas A&M football invitees are coming out. Shane Tripucka, grandson of legendary Denver Broncos quarterback Frank Tripucka, put his best foot forward. Will it be enough to earn a draft selection?
Shane participated in specific drills and the weigh in process. He measured 6-foot-3 with 9-foot-3/4-inch hands and a 31.5 inch wingspan. He weighed in at 220 pounds.
Tripucka is in the upper tier of specialists available in this year’s draft, but punters don’t often hear their named called in the NFL Draft. There weren’t any punters drafted in the 2017 NFL Draft and there hasn’t been a punter drafted before day three of the draft since Bryan Anger was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012.
