It has been a while since Texas A&M football has had a bonafide Heisman candidate, but it looks like that streak will come to an end this season.
Junior quarterback Kellen Mond showed major improvements in his first season under head coach Jimbo Fisher last season, showing the type of progression that would lead one to expect even greater things from Mond this season.
Those “greater things” could include being a candidate for one of the three All American teams, rising up NFL Draft Big Boards, leading Texas A&M to a ten-win season, and last but not least, being in the thick of Heisman contention throughout the season.
