Texas A&M football (6-4) was supposed to beat New Mexico last weekend. A loss to the Lobos likely would have officially ended Kevin Sumlin’s tenure at Texas A&M. He’s not out of the woods yet, but a win against Ole Miss would be another step in the right direction away from the hot seat.
Ole Miss (5-5) has no bowl hopes of their own thanks to a self-imposed bowl ban due to an NCAA investigation. While they won’t be bowling that doesn’t mean they’ve given up hope of ruining the bowl hopes of everyone else.
