While Texas A&M Football‘s safeties are among the most inexperienced units on the team, the Aggies cornerbacks will bring in some of the most experience on the roster.
Of the three starting cornerbacks, all three are upperclassmen, with one junior, one senior, and a redshirt senior.
That redshirt senior is starting nickelback Roney Elam. Last season, Elam spent most of the time on special teams, making twelve tackles. However, when appearing in the nickel set, Elam had a pair of pass breakups. Elam will likely carry a similar role into this season.
Elam’s fellow senior, Charles Oliver, will have the biggest role in the secondary.
