A couple of NC State players have elected to sit out the Gator Bowl to protect their NFL Draft prospects, and now it appears as though the Texas A&M football team will also be without one of their best defensive players.
The Aggies front seven has been a major strength in the 2018 season. They finished as a Top 3 rush defense and were one of the better teams at getting after the quarterback, especially in the latter half of the season.
NC State brings a high-flying passing attack into the Gator Bowl and the Aggies struggled in pass coverage this season, so they were hoping to have all pass rushing hands on deck to make Ryan Finley’s life more difficult.
