According to a report by Rivals.com, Kevin Sumlin may have stolen a (now-former) Texas A&M football player away from his old team. Walk on and backup guard Robert Congel, who just finished his true freshman season where he appeared in five games, will leave College Station and join Sumlin at Arizona.
Given the Aggies’ uncertainty at most offensive line positions entering this season, a true sophomore deciding to leave is interesting. Although it’s maybe not that interesting when you consider fellow sophomores Dan Moore Jr., Ryan McCollum, Carson Green and Jared Hocker are all competing for spots with seniors Keaton Sutherland and Connor Lanfear and junior Colton Prater.
