Jimbo Fisher will, hopefully, play a significant role in bringing Texas A&M football to national relevance. However, he’s not the savior that some in Aggieland have been waiting for. Having a proven head coach will enhances the chances of the Aggies’ long-waited resurgence, but one person isn’t going to be what flips this program from pretender to contender overnight. That ground work has already been put in place.
Texas A&M has made the investment in top-flight facilities. They’re poured dollar after dollar into the football program, building everything from a new stadium to a barber shop. From the nutrition center to the locker room swag, Texas A&M is more attractive to prospective recruits that ever before.
