Texas A&M football was rolling in the signings this morning as the Early Signing period began, leaving just a few commits unsigned as the calendar turns to 2019. Jimbo Fisher clearly wanted to get ahead and it makes focusing on the 2020 class that much easier.
However, he was not without a trick up his sleeve on the first day of the signing period. In one of the few surprises of the day, Texas A&M secured the commitment of 4-star defensive tackle Derick Hunter, who was previously a Florida State commit. Hunter was on Florida State’s radar since Jimbo was still in Tallahassee and originally committed on July 28, 2018.
