Texas A&M Football and head coach Jimbo Fisher announced the newest hire to the staff. His name is Jerry Montgomery.
Montgomery was born in Los Angeles, California. He played his high school ball at Virgin Valley High School in Mesquite, Nevada where Montgomery earned the 1997 Nevada State Player of the Year award. He would take his talents to Iowa playing for coach Hayden Fry and Kirk Ferentz.
Montgomery was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2002, but was released before the season started. He would spend three seasons (2003-2005) in the Arena Football League with the Chicago Rush, Colorado Crush and Las Vegas Gladiators.
