Texas A&M football had one of the most feared pass rushers in the game in the late 70s. Jacob Green struck fear in opposing quarterbacks and the All American went on to represent the Aggies well with a long career in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks.
Green had a 20-sack season in 1979, which is still the school record, and also owns the school record for career fumbles forced with 12. He is second on the school’s career sack list with 37. Green would dominate for 13 seasons in the NFL, totally 97.5 career sacks and retiring third on the list (at the time), behind only Reggie White and Lawrence Taylor.
