Texas A&M football has had some excellent players come through the program over the years, and that was especially true from the late 70s through the early 90s. The school sent many a player to the NFL in this time and they made their mark for years. One of those players was Jacob Green.
Few have dominated like Green did for the Aggies both in his career and in the 1979 season. In 1979 alone, as a defensive end, he compiled 134 tackles and 20 sacks. It has to go down as one of the most dominant seasons by a defensive end in college football history.
